Summer of Psalms | What Does it Take to Be Happy?

When our happiness is based on your circumstances, we are at the mercy of the season of life we find ourselves in and we will never be sucessful at removing all the obsticals in the way of joy. This is why its crucial to have our anchor point outside of ourselves and place our roots in who Jesus is.
Oh God, I have tasted thy goodness and it has both satisfied me and made me thirsty for more. I'm painfully conscious of my need for further grace and I'm ashamed of my lack of desire, oh God. And I want to want thee. I long to be filled with longing. My thirst to be made thirsty or still. God give me the grace to rise up and follow thee.
